The Sonic Body Shop can get the most out of recordings for your court case. Using professional noise reduction software, a poor recording deemed unusable can be revived for evidence. Depositions or conversations that were recorded under poor conditions can now sound clear and ready for transcription.

Here’s how it works: we take your tapes and record them to a hard drive. The audio is analyzed and software is used to remove audible distortions. If further equalization is needed to improve the audio, it is then applied. Finally, your audio is remastered to bring the overall volume to a consistent level. All of these techniques are used to improve the audio quality—the original recording is never altered.

The final product is burned onto 2 compact discs, with a track list and jewel case provided. All work is done confidentially and privately. Once you are satisfied with your product, the sound files are destroyed and you will possess the only copy of your restored recordings.

The Sonic Body Shop is available for work on court hearings, depositions, interviews, surveillance recordings and other recorded evidence for trial. We emphasize the use of original tapes rather than copies of recordings if high-quality results are to be obtained.

We can work with you or your court reporter to determine the best format for your restored recordings. You can arrange for a pick-up for media in the Atlanta midtown area, or you can mail it to our post office box.

We will be happy to provide a rough estimate over the phone for you. Upon listening to your tapes, we can then give you an accurate assessment and discuss the best options for your recordings.

The Sonic Body Shop does not authenticate recordings at this time. Due to the legalities of forensic audio work, we require clients to sign a release if you choose to use our services.

AUDIO MASTERING

The Sonic Body Shop is available for mastering your original music. It’s a well-known fact that more musicians are recording at home to avoid the high price of a professional recording studio. This is a cost effective solution, but your final mixes may leave something to be desired. Why not give the Sonic Body Shop a try?
